A Beautiful Setting for Moms with Children
Located on Upland Avenue, Reading, PA we provide a beautiful setting for women who are looking to make changes for a lifetime. We offer each family a private suite, including their own bedrooms and a bath. Our large, open-concept gathering area has a living room, kitchen, and dining area, where families gather for weeknight family dining, and opportunities to socialize. This concept of living in community helps families build relationships and trust among one another, find friendships and share resources.
Our professional staff, interact continually with our clients, guiding them through our comprehensive programming. We look at each family holistically and work personally with both moms and children. Each family is treated with respect and love, while expectations are high, we understand each family comes to us from differing backgrounds, levels of education, and family dynamics.
What We Do
We work with a goal-oriented model for each mother and family. Starting with immediate, short term and long-term goals, each client has an individualized program that she and her case manager work through. Weekly one on one meetings help moms stay on their course. The goals are set by our moms, while staff will help guide them to meet these goals. This “one on one” approach is key to the success for every mother as she is gaining independence for her family.
Every client agrees to the following protocol:
- Setting life-changing goals and working a customized plan to succeed
- Attending weeknight programming, such as budgeting, life skills, parenting, bible study, nutrition, conflict resolution, other programs as offered
- Mothers must be employed or be in an approved educational program
- A regular meeting with our Career Mentor and with our Life Coach
- A weekly meeting with a Case Manager is part of our program
- Therapy with the therapist of her choice is a core component of the program.
